Back to clear skies and warm strong sunshine here now. I guess many of you will see it later, although the extreme East looks like it may stay under cloud overnight as the warm front pushes SE from the top half of the country:

Lovely afternoon here in Croydon, not the heat that bounces off all the surfaces here, much more pleasant.

Enjoyed another walk before work, in the area around home. Not working this evening, so will get to enjoy the evening sunshine before it vanishes.

Spent much of the morning taking advantage of the cooler period sorting more stuff out in the spare room, then the sun came out and it was into the car and off to a local nature reserve with the camera (took over 100 piccies).

 

As soon as it cools down a tad I will be spending far more time in the art room (formerly known as the 'spare' room) using all these pictures (have over 1000 now this year) to work from in a big art project I have started.

Pretty much the same here sb - in fact my morning was even brighter than I expected, apart from getting trapped in the hospital car park for 20 minutes because the barrier got stuck which delayed my breakfast but it was worth waiting for  Posted Image

What are the chances of seeing that magic 30°C in the next few days, maybe even tomorrow for certain areas?

I have just been to the physio's and for a little wander afterwards and was suprised to see local weather stations reporting that low. As you say it feels a lot warmer in the sun, another beautiful day which I hope is finding everyone in good spirits. Posted Image

I sincerely hope anything like that doesn't happen!  Of course we have members in here that will not enjoy the warmth or sunshine and I guess they will make sure they take appropriate action to avoid it.
