  1. Just had a little look out side and things are starting to get going! Heavier snow now, although very wet at the moment. If the Temps continue to fall that will change.
  2. Yes sweetdream, not far, but enough to make a difference sometimes. Temps still very marginal at the moment for what I call 'proper snow' although I make it 1.9C now with a -1.95 Dewpoint - so we are slowly getting there!
  3. Must be very local then, here in St Ives only very wet light snow! I'm not holding out much hope for anything great here tonight. Radar showing moderate ppn here - not happening in the real world though.
  4. I think that could be because we have little altitude here - I'm 39ft about sea level, great.
  5. Yes, seems to be getting colder from the SE - interesting to see snow in Milton Keynes, AND a lot colder than us - strange? Is there any elevation in MK's
  6. We have ice rain here in St Ives, Temp dropping fast, so I expect wet snow sooner than later!Hope the colder air in the SE gets it's skates on. Seems to be alot warmer here Temp 2.9C Dewpoint 1.52 and falling.
  7. Don't trust the radar tonight, it's showing light snow over my area, and we are having a blizzard right now!
  8. Well, most people here have gone to bed just when the fun starts! We have a Snow to Rain to Snow event - Temps have dropped back to 0.4C
  9. Rain very sleety here still, and the wind is getting up, don't know the Temps as the St Ives Weather Station is down. Sure picks it's moments!
  10. Some great posts here tonight concerning marginal situations - great for learning. I think it's a fascinating event, maybe the cold air is not completely done yet?
