  1. Reckon about 20 mins before we get it at E Grinstead then.
  2. Eagle1-E Grinstead- walked to work this morning & took in the scenery. Main roads-A22, clear but hilly side roads like mine will become treacherous as cars compact the snow especially with the snow crossing the channel right now. It's been snowing here for some40 minutes & is fairly moderate now. My wife's boss just rang me to ask what time he should send staff home. In my humble opinion & watching radar I would recommend anytime from mid-day depending on the arrival of next band of snow after a lull I think around about 11-11.30 unless this band catches up existing one.
  3. Just started again in E Grinstead. Didn't take long to come west from Tunbridge Wells/Tonbridge area.
  4. E Grinstead-about 2.5cm of lying snow. Been quiet for almost an hour. temp -2.
  5. After brief respite, heavy snow falling again in E Grinstead. Just drove back from Haywards Heath & countryside starting to turn white.
  6. A flurry of snow just starting in E Grinstead, W Sussex. V light at present in easterly breeze. Eagle1
  7. Happy New Year from East Grinstead. Fairly heavy rain at present which wasn't mentioned on recent BBC forecast so decided to switch on Netweather early. Seems we have a little system in mid-channel which is stretching into Sussex/Surrey. Hope it moves away soon so the colder air can start penetrating from the continent. eagle 1
  8. Trying to work out where this snow has come from. Does anyone agree with me that it just seems to coming in anti-clockwise from the North sea with the centre round about London. It appears to be totally un-associated with the earlier national forecasts stating that tonight would bring further heavy falls. I'm assuming these are coming from the North but possibly they may join up with this North sea stuff if it doesn't clear soon.
  9. Heavy snow shower now easing off in E Grinstead. Not pitching. This follows heavy snow shower at 7-9am this morning when it did pitch on the grass.
  10. Yet another heavy snow/hail shower for E Grinstead after an overnight dusting. Certainly getting more windy too.
  11. Back snowing in E Grinstead, W Sussex. Suddenly looking very dark & pitching this time.
  12. Had a brief flurry at lunch-time but started to snow quite heavily now in E Grinstead, W Sussex. Certainly appears to be coming from a more easterly direction too.
