  1. Thunderstorm watch for counties including Atchison, Kansas, Doniphan, Missouri and Leavenworth, Kansas. Simultaneously, heavy rain will cause urban and small stream flooding.
  2. Marvellous. I'm always intrigued by time lapses and this one is special. Really good one. Thanks for sharing.
  3. Any updates about Henri? Is it going to be dangerous or will it remain offshore the United States?
  4. Magnificent captures! Really immaculate! Thanks a lot for sharing!
  5. The month of September is characterized by rapidly falling daily high temperatures, with daily highs decreasing from 19°C to 14°C over the course of the month, exceeding 25°C or dropping below 10°C only one day in ten.
  6. Hats of to the gentlemen in the boat! Really scary!
  7. The concept of galactic cosmic rays travelling with the speed of light and charging the already charged up thunderclouds sounds pretty plausible to me!
  8. Carol Kirkwood is my favorite BBC presenter. She's got such an attractive personality and the way she engages with the audience is absolutely magnificent.
  9. The weather in Austria is a predominantly alpine pattern, with influences from the Mediterranean climate to the south and the Pannonian climate to the east. To stay updated with accurate weather forecasts, have a go at Weather Mate.
  10. They say it's the greatest rainfall in the last 4 decades and nearly 3000 houses have been damaged. And yes toxic floods from coal mines and power stations have hit the Ha Long Bay World Heritage Site. I wonder if there were any disaster risk management protocols in place or any mitigation measures had been pursued in advance.
  11. Well here's this question to all the storm chasers out there. Is it really safe to be sitting inside a car when hit by lightning? I've heard somewhere that a man ploughing the fields with his tractor was once hit by lightning (literally out of the blue) but suffered no physical damage, no spasms, no aches, no concussions whatsoever. Yes, his tractor, they say, had its back tires melted and wouldn't start. So, what if I'm inside my car, with the windows rolled up and doors closed and am hit by lightning. Will I be able to survive? Will it cause any damage to my car?
