  1. Since 6 am we have had 1.1 inches of rain and is still falling at .26 inches per hour. Temp 14 C Calm pressure 1013mb
  2. Nice fresh morning, clear blue sky, temp 11.5 C wind Southerly 10 mph, glad I am not in SE England
  3. Very rare occurrence on the Isle of Lewis of a Thunderstorm with torrential rain and hail at 14:00 hrs lasting for 50 minutes Loud cracks of thunder with CG lightning. Pea size hail for a a couple of minutes. Preceeded by very well marked wall cloud moving in from the SSW.
  4. We had an overnight minimum of 4.5 C on the west side of the Isle of Lewis last night (Thurs)
  5. Frequent heavy snow showers all day and evening with a strong northerly wind, temp 2 C

  7. 10 cm of lying snow here on West of the Isle of Lewis with occasional snow showers throughout the day. Temp never got above -1 C
  8. Spectacular thunder and lightning at 0130 hrs thismorning, with 57-65 mph gusts knocking the TV and radio transmitter off. Strangely nothing has appeared on the lightning detector which makes you wonder how accurate it really is or is'nt !!! Presently 14 mph from the SW Pressure 1004 steady Heavy hail showers Temp 1 C
  9. Fantastic Thunder and Lightning thismorning at 6:30 am with strikes directly down into the ocean - wonderful stuff !! Wind up at 50 mph earlier thismorning, Pressure 977 mb and falling fast Temp 10.1 C
  10. A very wild day Temp now 4.1 C with hail and snow showers at sea level !! Wind NNW still gusting to 61 mph in showers, earlier today it was 75 mph pressure 1012 rising Vis 2 km in salt spray Sea state very rough with 45 ft waves up at the Butt of Lewis

  12. A wintry touch thismorning with sleet YES SLEET showers in a NW wind Temp 7 C with the wind chill bringing it down to 3 C and this is nearly July !!!
  13. A danger of heatstroke up here today as temp has risen to a sizzling 9 C with a biting northerly wind, and rain and hail showers !!
