  1. Absolutely Crazy winds here....my computer table is literally shaking in the loft room. Shorne West 67m ASL
  2. On a positive note..Looks like we may get a brief SSW ( wind reversal ) on Tuesday 16th. Weather is cool WWW.WEATHERISCOOL.COM
  3. Just drove over Bluebell Hill . Was like a blizzard. M2 Coast bound down to 2 lanes. London bound M2 closed due to accident(s)
  4. Seems to be some light precipitation turning Sleety across the North Downs right now according to net weather radar. Meopham, Harvel, Bluebell Hill area
  5. Some Sleet now showing up over higher parts of southern England Weather Radar - Live UK Rainfall Radar | Netweather
  6. UK Cold weather alert issued from 6th - 9th January.
  7. Last day of Spring 2023. Overcast and 13c Just “boosting” the heating for 10 minutes to take the chill off Its been thoroughly depressing in firstly nearly 4 weeks of rain, then 2&1/2 weeks of relentless icy cold winds, dry with occassional sunshine. I am 65 years old and cannot recall another spring like this. I need warmth !
  8. Same here, 14c, breezy with grey sky and Sun trying to appear. The South East England “eternal autumn” continues oh and the Met still saying May is 1.1c ABOVE average!
  9. 14c here with dark grey cloud and moderate North Easterly breeze that “ goes through you not around you “ feels really chilly. Light rain in last 15 minutes also. Autumnal weather continues
  10. We had Solar panels installed here on 5th Jan and I am keeping note of cloudless days to see what our maximum harvest will be during each month. This year to date we have had 2 cloudless days only. And for the record we have had no more than 30 minutes of sunshine since Thursday.
  11. Interesting longer term Met Office update this afternoon mentioning a low possibility of wintry disruption in weeks 2-3 of March. Teleconnections update also shows the AO heading markedly negative as we move through March.
  12. Could be record breaking cold according to Cohens recent update. AO Blog Update | Verisk's Atmospheric and Environmental Research (aer.com) I think we all know what will happen when that air reaches the Eastern Seaboard and out into the Atlantic ?!
