  1. Rush2019 as far as I know nobody hurt , 3 fire engines attended . My ears were literally still ringing an hour later .
  2. Reefseeker omg I knew it was close but it was even closer than I thought. The building at the end of our road was hit by the bolt we both heard . Literally about 70 meters from our home . Feel fortunate it missed us but sorry for those affected , hopefully they have insurance. Speaking to neighbours other homes near the strike also have damage.
  3. We had a storm earlier today around 2:30pm and had a thunder bolt so loud it made by ears ring . The power also went off . Just walked to the end of my street and the house as been struck. Reports from neighbours say there is damage to quite a few properties near by.
  4. Reefseeker yes it felt like that here too. My ears hurt and all our electronic devices went temporarily off . It didn't even rain for long
  5. Reefseeker OMG Massive thunder bolt . Bright flash and instant thunder . My heart is still racing . In Chessington. My ears are still ringing.
  6. Nooooo , Not now , do one . damianslaw yes they're gaining in momentum in the last 24 hours . ps , got sunburned on my bald head at Thorpe park today waiting for the rides . Sun wasn't that prevalent either.
  7. Addicks Fan 1981 was hoping for a move in of high pressure from the southwest but as someone said yesterday a new trend has now revealed itself albeit transient. However as @ANYWEATHERsays below an improvement on the dross of previous weeks.
  8. January Snowstorm wow without reading on , this seems some rant from yourself.
