  1. Longyearbyen seems to have had another flurry of snow today given a few warmer days and melting this week. Looks good in the setting sun.
  2. Looking back through some of these clips, it does make a change seeing some isobars on the images. It would be far better seeing more pressure details on todays weather forecasts but maybe that's just me.
  3. May have something to do with the melting of the ice sheets that once covered the north of the UK and Scotland rising at a rate of 1-2mm a year and the south sinking at a similar rate?
  4. It looks like Longyearbyen has had a good dusting of snow over the last few days
  5. The webcam for Longyearbyen is back up and running. Some great images from there watching the sun set on the snow covered mountains.
  6. We had our last one last night, setting tonight at 20.59 and the temp got down to 8.7C, certainly a change in the air.
  7. Some big rumbles of thunder and lightening out towards Hexham and heavy hail showers also.
  8. Rained in Newcastle quite heavily on Thursday night (4/4/13) for about 20 mins.
  9. Already started snowing again (light snow only) in hexham, looking out the window at work. Didnt think it was due to start for another couple of hours?
  10. Stamfordham - Hexham area hasn't stopped snowing all morning and doesnt appear to be stopping. Struggled into work and cant wait for the journey home, gonna be fun!!
  11. Stopped snowing here in hexham about 30 mins ago and hasn't started up again. Really hoping that wasn't it for the day!!
