  1. yay. two lightning strikes and very heavy rainfall at Melbourn (near Royston).
  2. Just drove home. plenty of trees almost completley over into country lanes with just one lane passable. Easy to miss as the headlights are low down. potantial to smash car wind screens. Numerous broken branches strewn across the road and a few wheelie bins sitting in the roads. This storm should be called 'Storm hench' as its a lot more disruptive than suggested.
  3. Rush hour times are going to be very interesting for people coming home from the first day back at work. I suspect the roads aregoing to get clogged very quickly in the South East with trees down. hopefully nothing worse happens.
  4. Dawlish is getting a hammering according to the Live web cam Dawlish beach cam
  5. Got flooded in the house from the really heavy rain. sand bags ooutside the front door didnt help much. Back garden is a mess with garden furnitature half way down the garden !
  6. Flight24 has a lot of aircraft stacked doing nice circles and getting pushed further east than the normal holding patterns Aircraft for Luton airport is being affected. Stansted not so much yet but they are trying to get loads landed before hand
  7. I am a little confused why the Storms are active over the channel. This time of year the sea temperature is colder so wouldn't the sea kill off the storms as they drift up from France ? Then the moment these storms hit land in the UK, they die off as the land temperature is warmer.
