Still a few more showers to come off the Fylde coast for the Pennines, but there's a good 3cm out in the garden here.

lol, interest what use is that, still waiting on the first flake. This year so far = none, last year 2 days where it fell but settled for 2 seconds, so March 2013 is our last meaningnful snow here on the Wirral. Infact it's probably better living in Kent. As where I live there are loads of near misses so even more painful to see. Not having a go at you by the way, it's just crap on the Wirral.

Well it's only a 45min journey from Piccadilly to Buxton on the trains, which are still running :D a good 4in of snow up on the tops around town.

Oh Wow!!

Next week going to be a very interesting one.  On Tuesday a possible snow event and on Thursday and Friday a significant snow event on the latest GFS00z.

I won't trust it yet but it is definitely trending colder. :D

Woke up to a cm or so, much more on the hills. Lovely sunshine now though, great for a walk :)

GFS 6z shows the low further north, taking the snow with it.  Just a boring run. :(

Definitely prefer the latest 00z anyday.

Didn't really get much from last night's half hearted wintry attempt... just a sprinkling of hail slush on the car which didn't last long.  Colder and brighter feel to today but as ever the Milder south westerlies are quick on the heels for tomorrow.  Apparently Storm Imogen being touted for a weekend visit.  The south might have to bear the brunt of this one for a change.  Still the track will probably chop and change by the time it materializes.

I thought set my alarm for 2:30am but couldn't have done because if didn't go off, dont think i missed anything seeing there was no snow even 3/400M ASL but atleast it's been a nice sunny day only clouded over around 3pm.

GFS 12z is very good for the white stuff around 177-201, probably potential for 1ft even low ground, of course it'll change but still nice to see.

I was surprised the snow line wasn't a lot lower seeing the bbc graphics yesterday, they were showing snow on the coast at times
