MetOffice latest forecast has lowered the wind speeds & gusts for here, which surprises me.

Oh god, I just went in the MAD thread to see if the projected track of Imogen had changed and they're talking about snow in the South next weekend! Damn, I wish I hadn't seen that....

Oh dear! I've not been paying attention if I'm honest, been concentrating on what we've got now. One step at a time!

I guess there's been referrals to this? Bloody precip-type charts- they should be removed from public use, to save the interwebs bandwidth. LOL

All seems very quiet here, expected to wake up to the strong winds.
Looking at my weather station, wind average from 9pm to now has been around 15-18mph and a few 25 mph gusts.
A heavy rain shower late last night some lighter ones early morning showing a total yesterday of 7.7mm (all in evening) and today 1.4mm
7.9c, 986.6 hPa, WSW wind 15mph

All calm now

Blustery start to the day in North Somerset, nothing out of the ordinary so far...just a typical winter low pressure system.

Max gust was at midnight of 50mph.

Morning all. A couple of small trees down and a fair bit of tree debris on the roads during my travels this morning. Heavy squally showers all night but the wind has definitely picked up more generally in the last hour or so.

YEs everybody is asking me this morning, "SO where is Imogen" (my grand daughter has the same name so a tad confusing!).

I can only answer...."Patience..."

Nice band of rain heading east through Dorset at the moment...

Is the worst still to come, it was more windier last night than it is this morning.

I noticed the BBC forecast has taken the wind gusts down by 10mph on this mornings forecast, but still 60-70mph!

I think the worst of the winds are due around middle of the day.

Anyway, woke up by thunder, lightening and heavy squall at around 5.30 this morning.

Checking Met Office warning and the wind forecast, I'm expecting to see it pick up from now until around 1ish. In fact there is an upward trend on the wind speed down in the harbour already. as it is stronger by about 10mph to about an hour ago.

Latest computer forecasts and model data shows possible snow for most of the day in Princetown tomorrow.

Hopefully I won't have to drag the kids out mountaineering too much.  Lol.

Just had a nasty squally shower pass through at work in Nailsea.

Apparently some scaffolding come down on the bank in Yatton, blown into the road.
