Hi.  Are you expecting anything here?  I think we are too far east.  As luck would have it though I'm walking in the west Chilterns near Hemel Hempstead with a  mate tomorrow so I'm hoping for something there!

You should be in luck. Ashridge/ Dunstable Downs best for snow from my experience of 10 years there. Better than here in north Norfolk.

It looks like that band of snow has a liking for the A1, I mean that band is pretty much on top of it from Catterick down to Huntingdon.

Meanwhile it looks like there is heavy snow for Lowestoft with another shower pushing into Cromer and north Norfolk now.

This should give a good representation of where we are around 02:00 Sunday, from latest UKV run. Expected error margin of Eastern extent is considered 15-20 miles.

20 miles east would be nice

Looks like I'm in the rain/pants zone then, despite the MetO's yellow Region of Joy :cray:

Indeed, more impressive than was modelled actually:

The aforementioned AROME actually looks closest to the mark:

Nice charts that highlight the fact that we are in the coldest air here in the South East, thats why it is going to be rain further West, and that includes the West Midlands.

This is a slider so somewhere will get continuous snow for a few hours as the PPN moves away South. In fact ECM has the snow fizzling out over us in the early hours so could be a better event than people are thinking.

Better half has just gone to the pub in the car which frequently breaks down and has a faulty heater. If he invokes the law of sod then we'll be in for a good night here!!

in all seriousness, I just want my little boy to see snow for the first time. Even if it means waking him up. Even if he normally doesn't sleep ever......:D

Well I can say in northamptonshire no settling snow at moment very light snow. Weathet app keeps delaying the heavy snow forcast from early.

Not sure, I wasn't earlier but it seems to be edging this way slowly so who knows. If it does get here not expecting snow.

Popped out for smoke a few minutes ago and looked a little cloudy but patchy in places. Am about 10 minutes from the A1m and the radar showing I should be right slap bang in the middle of the heavier bursts.. Bone dry at the moment. Unsure of actual temperature out there but was feeling warmer than earlier.
