22 August 1987.. high of 18C, low of 15C. Actual conditions unknown, but with such a high min temp but low max temp, overcast/wet seems likely. Shocking summer by all accounts.

Interesting because that is probably one of the slackest pressure charts I've ever seen. It also looks like it was quite hot in the SE.

Hm, that's interesting. The day before had a high of 25C and a low of 19C. The 20th had a high of 27C and a low of 21C! Maybe we received a thundery breakdown on the 22nd.

A Birthday chart dominated by a moody Low Pressure system to the North-West of the UK - the dude needs to chill out a little bit:

But my invisible brother, DiagonalBlueLine, was lucky... very lucky in fact, to be born on this day:

Anyone know of any weather events/records that share your birthday? This thread has made me look into it - both the 1993 "storm of the century" blizzard and great blizzard of 1888 formed on my birthday. Also, the deepest snow ever recorded was measured in Tamarack, California...11.5 Metres!

More recently in the UK, 11/03/2013 was the coldest March day since 1986.

As vile a "winter" day as you're likely to get for mine...

Yep! 10 August 2003 (my 6th birthday) - the hottest day ever recorded in the UK.

I remember it well, Scott. I was camping at the time, and woke up in a pool of sweat. That heatwave really was something.

broke down here that day, 9th was hottest here, breakdown was crappy as well, don't remember any storms
