I think we might get of lightly looking at the current radar

That mass of rain over Ireland is developing & heading eastwards so I'd say that's this evenings heavy rain coming right this way, will have to see how things develop in the next few hours.

It's possible the rain may be clearing your area quicker than expected.

Still got that mass over Ireland to come and building in the Irish Sea.

The proper heavy and persistent rain hasn't even begun yet with the amber weather warning coming into force from 18:00 onwards. Mass of rain over Ireland & building into NW England.

8 inches of rain, I've a feeling this will be big regional news tomorrow ..

I hope it doesn't make national news...  :help:

Can hear the rain falling outside now, cold @ 7.6c.

Here on the Fylde we have a brief respite before the main band pushes in - looking at the radar it isn't the case for Cumbria by the look of it - what is the Kent like at Newby Bridge? - we were there 2 days ago.

Numerous flood alerts and a few severe flood warnings, one of which is just down the road from me, well about 6 miles or so...

Met has updated the warnings. Massively increased the Orange area, now encompasses the whole of the Pennines into Derbyshire and all of Lancashire, with the center of it now about where we are :/

Quite surprised that my area has been upgraded in the latest Meto warnings and is in line for up to 250mm of rain.

More surprised still that it' is dry at present so it looks like a very wet night is on the cards and possibly some serious problems around here in the morning.

The rain is already arrived here according to the radar. It looks as though it appeared out of nowhere.

The rain has started again here and listening to the noise on the conservatory roof it sounds to be quite heavy.
