August very rarely produces cloudless days, at least in the south, northern areas seem to have had a better month,

Easterly winds in April with HP in charge would be good setup for many areas, but not here as I will get north sea misty low cloud

Today should be a cloudless day in Leeds - unless there was cloud before I woke up.

Indeed. Looks like one of those unusual days when the west coast gets its own version of haar. Glad it's not high summer.

This is why I hate UK anticyclones at this time of the year. At least when the high moves to Scandinavia and the south-easterly kicks in things will be very different to now here that's certain.

It has been more or less cloudless today here, one of the few times (perhaps the only?) this summer. In a way it doesn't look right outside with just blue skies. We've had a lot of days which started sunny but turned fairly cloudy by lunchtime or early afternoon. I've ended up with loads of cracking sunset pics as a result :)

Here's some pics from earlier today:

Non stop sunshine here today and virtually cloudless. Kind off feels like spring because that seems to be the only days that are cloudless currently! Lol.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
