Unfortunately, what's going to follow is rain most days till Monday maybe even Tuesday, though it will be mild with it both by day and night

Visibility has improved significantly in the past 30 minutes or so I can now see the housing estate at the end of my road now which is a distance of around 643 meters

A distance of "around 643 metres" is rather specific. Not 640 meters, not 650 metres, but 643 metres. Tell the truth, you went outside and measured it didn't you?!

Plenty of fog around these past few days, I like fog, it's autumnal.

I used google maps to get the rough distance

:p

Thankfully, no fog issues now even had a glimmer of sunshine for around 30 seconds, no the breeze is picking up we won't be having any fog issues for a while now

We had 31 seconds of sunshine, unfortunately it was at dusk!

Did you use a tape measure? :D

Well, what a difference from this morning the longest spell of sunshine since last Sunday I can actually get outside and get some jobs done for once!

Despite being mild, today started off really quite foul. It didn't get light until later due to the weather conditions and some of the rain really was very heavy and slapping off the windows.

Then it brightened up but with some quite prolonged heavy showers and a rainbow chucked in for good measure.

Good old British fayre really ....

Big difference between west and east today, and it continues similar all week.
Dry and very windy here with brief patchy drizzle.
Meanwhile 50 miles to the west they have had inches of rain.

Feels nice and fresh outside for the first time in months, just got to hope it stays this way for a few month now. Bye bye mild turgid weather.

Not even micturated of about the rain for once, nowhere near cold enough for snow though..

Durham and Northumberland are both under a yellow warning for heavy rain tomorrow and Sunday with 50mm to 100mm possible over the hills

Yesterday we switched almost seamelssly from Autumn (16c) to Winter today (6c).

Wow, this what I love about the weather in the UK. From the sublime to the ridiculous almost instantly!

Obviously they were car thermometer readings but the difference is stratling really.

The showers that cam ethrough were impressively heavy too. Very wintry feeling day!

Some potent wintry showers likely for coastal areas with this setup with extra help from North sea "warmth"

It would be nice to at least see a frost!

Through the 80s we often seemed to get a bit of snow by last week of November.

In those days it was the RAC rally and when they came by here mre than once it was snowy enough to be an issue.

I'm not going to get too excited until I see snow falling. Been here before.

1985 and 1989 seem to stand out for a late November cold snap.
