Great posts above! After a few days away it was nice to come back and be cheered up by the friendly banter. :)

A very slight improvement to the monotonous grey today when a few cracks in the cloud appeared and there was a hint of brightness. Temp has been stuck at a smidge over 13C all day. But with some changes to the current set-up forecast, we'll hopefully be out of this rut soon.

Lovely end to the day with clear skies, there might be some cloud drifting south overnight, but hopefully this should clear to leave a bright day tomorrow.

Hopefully the weather will liven up, maybe even give us an early taste of winter.  :cold:

Same, see the "36 days of snow " headline and here I am again. So 3 days of slush to look forward to :)

The clear skies the Captain mentioned arrived in Suffolk overnight to give a chilly one at 5.4C. Gentle start here with some patchy thin cloud but the rising sun already appearing and lighting up the autumn colours on the trees. Looking like a pleasant day ahead before rain arrives tomorrow.

Some nice Autumnal colours this year :) unfortunately I'm trying to upload photos they're flipping 90 degrees anti-clockwise for some reason unknown? Trying to upload on my iPhone - any solutions?

What a idyllic scenario :whistling:

For the 2 years of torment & anguish I'll take it that would lead onto something special!

Meanwhile it was a nice day the sun was out in full force her fiery flesh made me feel faint.

What an amAzing 24 hours.

Saw the sun for the first time in what seemed forever yesterday, and this morning it's raining.

Two weird phenomena around this part of the world recently.

Looks like a wet majority of the day.

Nice Dan! Now as it's "Back to the future" day, could you squeeze into the Delorean with the Doc and Marty and pop forward to January and let us all know just how bad the record breaking snowfalls are going to be?!!

Back to now.... wet!

A poor day again with spells of mainly light rain on and off.

To be honest as interesting last nights ECM was, the weather we would get would only be a lot of cloud and rain, it doesn't look cold enough for snow at low levels so it would just be a colder version of what we have had recently. This mornings run though would bring sunny spells and temperatures in the high teens to end October.

Only the loss of the howling wind will make Stainesbloke happy, but I don't think a countrywide ban on baked beans is on the horizon.

Indeed, what about the Tardis as an alternative - oh yes he can only go back in time? It actually is possible supposedly if you surpass the speed of light, well a Nobel prize up for grabs to whoever accomplishes that. :p

surely if you travel at the speed of light you therefore become light?  :cc_confused:

Been a dull day today, not much rain, but damp and mild. The garden is full of slugs and snails and rats 14.7c

I think he needs a sunken garden/allotment 300 feet underground to protect him from the vile westerlies that we will have 90% of the time this winter.

The future isn't a pretty sight, 5000 new weather models, all disagreeing with each other

But we travel at the speed of sound and still stay in on piece and not become sound :D

FTL is what we need, light is not fast enough

Mild and not raining here BTW, but inside anyway as there is an abundance of darkness out.
