Still nothing up here in the NE, but the Czech Republic had a good show last night.

What I thought was just a weird hazy blur in the north before it got dark would have been the ones then? I wish I has got up at 3, I was awake but never thought to check the sky. Now I know what to look out for.

yes.... look for a brighter patch that stands out against the overall light increase from dark to light towards the horizon. there should , in a clear sky, be a uniform light increase towards the horizon. ncl's when not fully formed or lit can start as 'light anomalies' characterised by their blue/white colour (as per photos).

think thats right :)

The noctilucent season must be coming to an end soon. Already the evenings are noticeably darker.

From about a week's time onwards we achieve proper darkness in this location. No more lingering twilight.

Not seen any this year here 'yet' and time is slowly running out. Seems to be a good concentration over the Arctic Yesterday with a thin veil South..

It could be that tonight and tomorrow night will be the last chances for this year. Cloudy after that.
