Amazing that little bits of ppn got all the way accross to the east coast!! This front is so much further east than forecasted its crazy. Its made fools of the forecast for a clear and cold weekend lol!

To say Mondays snow is supposed to be now to the SW of us, I wouldnt bet against us seeing something yet ;)

I live at a similar elavtion as you but the north of the city.  There is about 3cms here which = 30mm!  Are you sure you not getting mm's mixed up with cm's.  Sorry but i had to say as im getting confused. 2mm = thickness of a pencil nib?

Anyhow thick and fluffy flakes for the last 30-40 mins with renewed intensity.  Beginning to get some good depth now rather like the Leeds pics.

Probably be some decent minimums tonight around the region with snowcover now. Be interesting to see how low we go! Depends if the clouds break up i guess..

we should hold onto the snow for a few days now hopefully :D

Strange local forecast showed snow for us. Turned later than forecast but was there on our local forecast.

The radar actually had it within 30-40 miles of me early this evening - not sure if it ever got that far though I strongly doubt it. The frustration is the remnants of my ice cover is now disappearing and this would of been the perfect time for a front like this to hit us.

The netweather radar showed light ppn over myself from 4pm this afternoon , and yes it was cloudy but nothing fell from the sky until about 7pm

I do wonder what the point of it is when it's that inaccurate.

Probably evaporating before it got down to lower levels. The sky did look impressive though at times.
