28 September 2015 total lunar eclipse

Some nice pictures :)  Woke up around 3.30 and took a quick look (wasn't really feeling together enough at that time in the morning to set up my camera and we get a lot of light pollution here so the view is never brilliant).  I'd say that of the pictures posted so far the closest to the view I got was the picture from Thunderbolt_, but not quite as bright and a bit greyer.

Seeing as I lost most of shots from last night which I was gutted about, I did manage to retrieve this shot, travelled all the way to Alum for the Eclipse

Couldn't have wished for better conditions last night. It certainly was a dark eclipse, with the Orion Nebula and the Pleiades in full splendour (a sure sign that winter's not too far away).

Did anyone else notice that the full moon looked two dimensional, but during the total eclipse it looked three dimensional?

Yes probebly due to more light spectrum hitting the surface.
