What's supposed to be the trigger for these storms in the morning?

Heat has gone

Humidity has gone

My sanity almost gone

Doubt they will make it across the channel for imports in this crap air

Tomorrow will be 13c cooler than today :yahoo::cold: with a chance of patchy thunder from Thursday to Saturday. :D  Temperatures could hit 30c again before the weekend though. :cray:  London and heat do not go well together.

Brogdale holds the official UK record from 10th August 2003, so I'm presuming it's an official site.

The humour was missed by me ;-) The heat is getting blamed for everything from cancelled trains to a sudden flu epidemic amongst the nations workforce,so i blame that for 'being slow on the uptake' !

Just seen the MO updated radar for tomorrow.

Seems to me that the rain/thunder chance for this corner has vanished.

???????????

Lol. Just taken me the best part of an hour to read all the posts since I left for work this morning! Great day's heat watching for you guys. No mobile signal at all where I'm working in deepest Suffolk, so no chance of following the excitement as the record fell.

A smattering of storms in the W/NW and in Scotland today & this evening, but nothing for our Region. Nothing brewing over the Channel this evening either.

I was surprised to come home and find that humidity has actually fallen here, down to 48% this evening. So it doesn't look like any surprise storms for us this evening/overnight. And the CAPE/LI charts for tomorrow are rather under-whelming.

But Saturday looks very interesting for us in the east! As always, we will see on the day!

Still 25C here at 21.00 and my bedroom is stifling. So I feel for you guys in and around London.

Hit 36c. I feel sorry for anyone who had to use the transport system today, especially London Scumderground :bomb: All you have to do is raise an eyebrow and you break into a sweat. I have had my feet in a bucket of ice cream since 5pm, it really does keep you cool. It is still 33.7c out in the shade and judging by the temperatures tonight, I may have to stick a Vienetta on my head. ;)

I was in the tube at 3pm today. It was like hitting a wall getting on there. Once we started end windows were open so was quite nice

Curious does anyone know the highest night time minimum temperature recorded in England? Feels like we could be close in the south easy tonight

Well, I went to get a drink and came back to see that the storms in BoB have really upped in intensity. Gone from 50/60 strike per minute, up to 300! They certainly seem pretty intense.

Time to sit back for 6 hours or so tracking every little yellow dots progress towards me! :)

In the minute or so it's taken me to type this its up to 360+ strikes a minute, thats 6 strikes a second!
