A few clear spells overnight, though a good deal of cloud also at times with a couple of light showers. Ground frost. Mostly cloudy this morning, bright spells, showers in the vicinity.

A few showers last night gave way to clear spells through the early hours with widespread frost developing. This morning has seen high level cloud increasing partially hiding the sun. Mostly cloudy, though a few brighter spells also when the high and medium level cloud thinned. Turning clearer towards evening.

The first half of the night was dry with variable cloud cover. Light snow showers moved down from the north west duirng the early hours giving a dusting of snow by 0600. There was a moderate-heavy snow shower between 0820 and 0840 and further short, moderate snow showers since then with brief sunny intervals between them.

 

At 0900.

A dry sunny day but not far away snow showers and a dusting in peak district across to fox house and Owler bar into Holmesfield.

Further snow showers this morning adding nothing to the existing cover which gradually thawed in the sunny intervals between the showers. The afternoon was dry and mainly sunny but there were a couple of light snow flurries and a few ice pellets from passing Cu towards sunset .
