I think the western half of this system has the less cold air, hopefully the right half can stay cold enough to be snow! Here's hoping!

Definitely doesn't look like its dying as it hits the sea below Scotland to me...

definately is

I can see what you mean, but overall the ppn isn't losing intensity = the Irish sea will work its magic, let's just hope it's snow!

How unlucky is this.. today we had no lying snow, I'm on a hill though. The point where I took the photo is 107m above sea level, the land in the distance is lower than here.. yet check out what happened.

So when you think damn I'm unlucky.. this is the true definition of that.

It's looking to south Wirral towards Neston and Chester.

Use netweather, PPN type available, use Met office just to confirm PPN as a sort of second check.

Unless you're 150m+ and you're east of Warrington, forget snow.

Rain, sleet and hail rattling through here, very heavy at times. DP's are just too high.

Some less cold air with this system, temp shot up to 3.2c from 1.7c, raining now.

Well looks like rain, followed by a dry sector, then more rain, while north east of here parts of the region gets plastered by snow AGAIN! Sounds about right for tropical Wirral, I give up. :yahoo:

wont dps drop when the pl moves in....cant believe a polar low will deliver rain....there meant to be the holy grail of snow.

I'm not convinced it is a polar low, Nick F doesn't think it is either (Netweather senior forecaster).

Wet here not even wintry.
