The run up to Christmas 1935 was cold and frosty but snow was limited.

Maxima recorded

25F at Stonyhurst on 20th

18F at Abbotsinch on the 23rd

25F at Cambridge, Ross-on-Wye on 23rd

Minima

11F at Peebles on the 20th

6F at Dalwhinnie on the 23rd

It became milder on Christmas eve

There were severe floods across parts of Southern Europe at the end of the month. 8 people died in the province of Avila and parts of Madrid were flooded. There were floods on the Rhone, Saone, Ardeche, Loire and Garonne. 40 people died because of floods in Skutari in Albania.
