Best place to view the model outputs

I see a lot of model output images posted on the forum but I'm unsure where they've  been taken from.

 

So, where's the best place  to view them? Is  there anywhere that 'combines' the various outputs?

 

I'm particularly  interested in the temperature models  and I know I've seen graphs lurking somewhere that show the various models plotted with an average.

 

I  have my own weather station running on a Raspberry Pi and uploading data  to the internet (see http://www.henryandjoey.co.uk/weewx) but  I'm a newbie when it comes to model outputs!

If i may also give you a link wetterzentrale.de its a German site but i reckon its one of the best places to view the models. I'm a wetter man myself.

My favourite places are here at Netweather and Wetterzentrale- I generally use a mix of the two when browsing the model outputs.  Wetterzentrale is very good for its supply of NOAA archive charts in particular.  However I usually use Netweather's datacentre for posting "live" charts (especially those from the GFS) because the links tend to be run-specific whereas the Wetterzentrale ones update with each run, which means that if you post a GFS 06Z chart from Wetterzentrale and a 12Z chart comes out a couple of hours later, the chart may have changed completely and thus look out of place compared with the surrounding discussion.  I'm not sure if Meteociel has the same problem but I'm not as big a fan of their colour schemes as with N-W and WZ.

Maybe I'm being stupid, but I compared the GFS temperature charts on here and on meteociel.fr for the same time, based on the same model run, and the temperatures they show are different - see example below. Why is this?

You're comparing the max temp for that slot on the netweather chart with what looks like the average or even minimum on the other one :-)

Ah fair enough! I've compared the max temp charts though for the same run and a particular point, and there are still differences.

 

Am I being stupid again?

It may be just the different grid points being displayed by the two as you don't see all of the grid points available as there are too many, or different rounding perhaps.
