Dorsetbred - back with us soon

Some of you might have noticed that Dorsetbred - or Quentin as we know him in the real world - hasn't been around for the last few days.

Unfortunately, Quentin had a very bad fall earlier this week, resulting in multiple fractures and a long list of other serious injuries.  The good news is that he's recovering well, and may even be released from hospital very soon if his recovery continues to progress so smoothly.  Sadly, it does mean that we won't be enjoying the dry Dorset wit on Tour 5 this year, or the sound of his wife, Maxine, knitting from the back seat as we cover the miles as we have for the past 4 years.  And not forgetting their son who was due to join them this year for the first time after burning the midnight oil following them on the stream in the past.

We'll miss the West Country twang, but wish you a continued and speedy recovery Quentin, and I'm sure you'll bounce back quickly (sorry, couldn't resist).

With best wishes from all of here at Netweather, the tour staff past and present and all the guests, we will bag some action for you.  And I'm sure everyone else will join in wishing you well and back on form again very soon.

Ian

I can't imagine how you must be feeling. I'd be gutted if I couldn't go, knowing how excited I am in the build-up.

Chin-up and here's to massive supercells and even bigger steaks next year.

Such a shame but I'm sure you'll be back next year. Might see you then.

Wishing you a full and fast recovery.

Was sitting here in disbelief when Ian M sent me a message earlier this week.

Hoping you make a speedy recovery and stay away from roofs!

Folks, including George the chicken, thank you all for your we'll wishes and kind thoughts. Nice place to watch the looking right out over the English Channel, for yesterday's rainfall and thunder. Today it's right and clear out there and trickle weather. Expect a few days in here yet before phase 2 recovery begins at home. DB

Unfortunately things were worst than first appeared. Initial hospital reviews were not 100% correct and major surgery followed. To cut things short I missed all the goings-on for the last tour, so in due course I will have some reading to do on the forum.

I am now back home in phase 3 of my recovery, hoping to return to the USA next year.

Until then "Chase On"
