Hi guys,

I'm sure some of you have heard about SkyWarn UK. We are part of the European SkyWarn Network and cover the whole of the UK (England, Wales, Scotland, N.I.) as well as the Channel Islands. We are a network of volunteer storm spotters, and are always looking for new enthusiasts to join us. In order to become a SkyWarn UK Spotter you need to complete two online training modules with a pass rate of 80% for each module. These modules cover basics around the role of the spotter, what and how to report, as well as severe weather climatology and storm structure amongst other things. Once passed, spotters are required to recertify at least once every 3 years by completing a shorter refresher module. SkyWarn UK shares received reports with a number of organisations including the UK Met Office, TORRO, and the European Severe Weather Database. We are a friendly organisation and would love to welcome you onboard. You can find out more at our webpage, or on our Join Us page.

Cheers,

Rich
