LOL, as luck would have me, the thunder died out as soon as it hit borough! Very heavy rain and strong winds though. Don't know if there will be any more on the cards, a few more small cells out to the West of me, don't know if they will intensify or die out. We'll see.

Rumble of thunder here near Heathrow, seems to be a line of storms (with gaps in between) heading in across west London/Home counties - probably a trough.

Several rumbles of thunder here in the past few minutes though it appears quite distant.

Seems like that line of storms is now coming through from the West as the thunder is a lot louder and I can actually see the occasional lightning flash.

Looking out front of the house it's really black over Horndean with lots of rolling thunder, look out the back of the house toward Hayling Island and it's quite a nice day - blue sky with white fluffy clouds.

Best storm in a few years just gone through here. Best gust front on a UK thunderstorm i've ever seen aswell, from calm and still to leaves being torn off the trees and small branches flying about in a few seconds. A bit of hail mixed in, and almost constant thunder....roll on the next one!

Sorry to post 2 blunt questions but blum.gif

Are all storms today going to be in the south or is there a possibility for the north too?

AND

If anything is forecast for today is there a possibility of storms after dark

Dont fancy trawling through 30 pages of posts for a simple yes or no answer smile.png

Just had an awesome heavy hail shower.

Even car alarms going off. Got VERY windy.

No thunder though. Looks like a very small cell.
