Let me have a look-see outside!!!

Edit: OK, can't see anything at the moment from up here in Mid Sussex, but you can guess I'll be a bit late home from work tonight to intercept this little lot:

If nothing else it will prove how waterproof my car is!

Coast have a feeling that will take a turn more Northerly as it hits England due to the movement of the low. Am I right ??

View SSE a few minutes ago. Towards N. Wales and S Lancs.

It's racing up here through Lancs while I've been getting ready to post.

Not heard any thunder yet today

Always a good idea to actually attach the picture!

How come the North gets more storms than the South?? sad.png

Technically speaking we don't the Midlands & Lincolnshire have historically done well, but recently the north has. It's the luck of the drawer I suppose. I remember countless a time watching the southern UK being hit by thunderstorms and sitting in the NE wishing I was down there but your turn will come I am sure of it - eventually!

Don't be silly man, Cumbria won't be having any storms... rofl.gif

Heavy shower here atm, things aren't looking to shabby tbh smile.png

Looks fine to me on Netweather Extra V6 radar and strike detector, although this one updates more often than the free available version of V6. Quite a few strikes over N England and S Scotland in the last hour looking at the ATD.

That stuff over Northern France is just... ohmy.png

This beast which came up from S Lancs gave a rumble of thunder while I was taking a picture.

Amazing cloudscapes all round, but so far serious rain has missed us.

Pity I'm still at work. Being east of you means I'd have had a better view than where you are.tongue.png

been thundering here for the past half hour , with torrential rain , reports of flooding on some major roads, radar showing more heading this way so looks like this flooding is going to get worse.

Colours seem to be easing here slightly but that was a pretty violent downpour we had (looks like persistent though now rather than showers)

Still a lot of low cloud plaguing today in this neck of the woods. Feels very humid though and I bet if only the sun was strong enough to burn the cloud off, it would be lovely and warm. :)

Good stuff, I am pleased some of us Scots got a storm. All the action is to far east of me though.

Looks like a storm over the Durham area some Sferics reported I believe? Some cracking cells across the border there!
