Well, that went pretty much as forecast today! Nice to see some snow around the region, even if some of us have now had it washed away! That was the best snow event this winter for us........,, SO FAR!

Some brilliant model output tonight which would bring us some snowfall and cold as we progress into Mid Feb, but we do now have a quite more average week ahead, perhaps trending cooler from Mid Week onwards again! I don't however envisage any snowfall this week for our region at this stage!

Next weekend, we could hopefully be looking at when our next snow event may be, with a ever growing sign of a Greenie High developing next weekend onwards, which will produce much more than what we have just had!

So, a quiet week ahead, but a sting in the tail of this winter is still very much possible!

we had a peak temp of 6.6 but now dropped to 5.9c.

guessing you all seen the gfs model. at the moment forecast of -12 uppers for all along the coast dorset devon and cornwall for this time next week. Can change but the potential is there for those who missed out to have a taste of the action.

Quite excited to report that we still have some snow after the rain! Was expecting to look out and find it all gone

I thought the next snow event for us was midweek? Just been in the pub yapping about it so it had better be lol

Evening DD!

So I take it your snow has all gone now then... Bummer!

We've got a lovely covering of slush here!

Some people are easily pleased. LOL

Even in an average winter we'd have 6 or 7 snow days in the south west.

Today's snow was OKish but remember the last 3 winters - not long winters, granted, but some pretty special snowfalls - obviously not a patch on 78, 79, 81, 87, 91 -

Let's hope today is the start of a snowy February.

E Anglia, just to the north of London and the SE are getting an absolute pasting at the mo :wallbash:

Evening! :)

Our snow was gone by 2pm lol. Just lots of puddles left here and no chance of ice tomorrow for us as it's too warm, but I'm not complaining, it's how I like it.

Now this snow next week...? Anyone?

Enjoy your slush. I prefer mine in a glass with vodka :D

Delighted to finally get some snow even falling let alone settling here in the southeast. I think this may be a practise for things to come in the west next week.

Thanks, enjoy your snow and hopefully we can join in next time. Feb could be a quite a month judging by the various positive signals for blocking to the north. Looking at the charts now compared to a few weeks ago the transformation really has been incredible.

Some of the output is reminding me of Dec 2010, okay thats a ramp and a half but seeing the snow fall today has wetted by appetite for more :drinks:
