is there anyway we can ask questions to them as they travel or a linked gps road map like some chasers use or do we just rely on them telling us where they are?

Mapping will be sorted tomorrow hopefully.

Questions can be asked on the forum, they check in here regularly.

If you want any alcohol tonight, you better buy some now, because Childress is in a dry county, lol. Though you'll probably be too tired to be bothered anyway.

Good luck and have fun.

Just tuned in happily watching flags flying only to get treated to what I guess was some kind of rain dance by the guys!

Okay Guys

Sorted a Route out and will be heading South from Childress at about 11am (5pm Uk) down to Guthrie and then across to Lubbock, Will then head SW Down towards Hobbs to arrive for Lunch around 230pm here. Initiation should be around 4-6pm today. So if you want to watch the Streaming It should get Interesting from around 23z (Uk Time) but if you want to follow us on the road we will be setting off in about 30 Minutes.

If you need to sort out real time streaming, you could try downloading a trial version of Fransom GPSGate which will let you pslit your GPS signal into 4 Virtual com ports. Then you can use one of those virtual com ports for SpotterNet or some other GPS tracking software. I think you can configure GPSGate to upload positions straight to a website also which might be usable.

I'll certainly be using SpotterNetwork whilst I am out to show my position, although whether that will be visible under the mound of other chasers out there, I'm not sure! http://nwstatic.co.uk/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

Mobile internet coverage isn't great in the area they're heading through at the moment, which I suspect is the reason for the lack of streaming - hopefully will be back online soon though - it's pretty good around the lubbock area etc.

Gone again by the looks of it, doesn't really matter though, looking at the radar we're not missing much!

Today's chase should yield better streaming with greater reception around

the slight risk area.

Yep, definitely should do - the worst areas are in the panhandle and western parts of texas, much of Oklahoma, Kansas and C/E Texas are pretty good - just sods law the first couple of days were in the patchier spots.
