Cell just to the east of Garden City looks like it is going tornadic and should be east of Scott City in about 45 mins. If the I-70 action ends, would suggest dropping south to intercept this one heading north.

Lots more brewing down the line heading across nw OK towards Dodge City for later on.

The best looking cell on radar at 2200z was located 10-15 miles east of Friend moving north at about 35-40 mph towards the town of Gove (as opposed to Gove county) ... this is being defined as a supercell in the warning and will probably drop a large tornado at some point next hour. Would target 10-15 south of Gove asap.

Huge funnel dropping from this one - brilliant footage as above (Matt Grantham)

The supercell now moving more NNE, should pass between Shields and Utica soon and head NNE towards I-70, for intercept would either go due east from Gove City, or along I-70, or around south end of cell through Shields and Utica.

Should cross I-70 between Quinter and WaKeeney at about 2340 to 00 z or 6:40 to 7 pm CDT.

Did anyone else just see the car infront of his skid off the road and into a ditch? I hope they're ok.

Yes, but it didn't look too serious. At worst they'll be stuck in a ditch.

Incredible footage isn't it?

Just to clarify, Matt Grantham filming cell north of I-70, the supercell is about 25-40 miles southeast of there heading NNE, on the map attached to Matt's live stream, you can see Utica in southeast corner and WaKeeney to the east of his location on I-70 ... this is where I think a large tornado is heading, possibly 10 west of Utica now, towards 10 west of Wa Keeney in about an hour.

This is Andy posting on Ian's account.

We have just seen the most amazing rotation - Paul has captured the whole caboodle on videocam and everybody says it was the strongest they've ever seen. The tornado touched down just outside Hoxie at 5:20 CDT, and the video briefly shows the debris cloud.

Unfortunately we then got involved in a nasty dirt track that swallowed all 3 cars whole. I'm with Nick and Paul travelling back to paved road, the ITV man has been rescued by the local farmer and Dave Ewoldt/Ian/Tom were back with Ian's car waiting for rescue.

Photos later but Nick, Ian and myself are covered in mud, and we are currently back at the main paved road just outside of Hoxie, slap bang in the middle of two monster cells.

Pray for us  :D

Andy
