Found ! Lost pictures of Brooklyn Blizzard....

Todd Bieber, a NY filmmaker, recently found a canister of film in the snow in Brooklyn's Prospect Park. He developed the 35 mm, black and white film which contained some great pictures of the recent blizzard.

Todd has made a YouTube video in an attempt to find the photographer who shot the pictures, skeptics are saying this is a hoax but either way the pictures are wonderful especially the ones taken in Coney Island !

It's a great story...who are the people in the pictures and will Todd find them? I hope his video gets enough attention to reunite the lost pictures with their photographer. And if this is a publicity stunt...give Todd credit for his creativity and hope it gets him the attention he wants and deserves.

First potes..old pants ones showing a volcanic sunset last year...a large convective cloud with what appeared to striation banding and a strange horitoztal area of cloud connecting the two bases..third is a suspect wallcloud.

Pic taken about 2 weeks ago the small rainbow affect on the left of the pic is called a Sun Dog i think?

Thought I should share the following pictures. 1st one is a very strange cloud phenomenom that i wonder if anyone could help identify.

Other 2 were of a late sunset early on in the year taken as little as 2 minutes apart but catches the evening glow very nicely.

Cheers Weather Ship. Link very useful and glad I snapped it when i saw it!! Looks to tick the right boxes as about half mile away is Prestwick Airport so one of the planes from there might have started the effect.

One taken this morning an hour or so before sleet and rain arrived.

Looking through these lovely photos, I think my other half may have taken a photo of a snow dog last week. The sun was setting over the Welsh hills in the distance and either side, a little distance away from it were two glows like smaller suns but coloured red, yellow and a little blue. We tried to capture it and this was the result.
