So far this year I have seen. Orange tip, Peacock, Short tailed Blue, Meadow Brown, Large White, Small White, Painted Lady, Red Admiral, Small Tortoiseshell. I remember the article about the Small Tortoiseshells last year but we seemed to have had plenty. They seem to like the marigolds.

It's been one of the best storm days I can remember. Quietened down now with just the odd rumble and light rain.

Had nearly continuous rumbles of thunder for over and hour now. So much lightning I turned the range down on my detector. Rain not as heavy as this morning so far total of 22mm for the day.

Storm easing off a bit now. Moving up into Lincs. Peak rain rate 92mm ph. Total rainfall past hour 19mm

Just having the best storm we have seen in ages. Lots of C-G and C-C now tipping it down. Lightning detector going mental. Dogs hiding under computer desk. Peak rain rate 92mm ph. Just lost power and phone for the second time.

I wouldn't give up hope yet SUFC. My lightning detector has been going off every 10 to 15 secs for over 15mins so there is plenty of convection around.

I would think with massive power outages and communications damage as well, not many people would be able to get online anyway.
