  1. I know it's a little soon, but any takers for the easterly next week?
  2. I also remember that awful January sat in 2004! Took me 4 hours to travel from merry hill to Stourbridge, around 4 miles. Absolute mayhem! Rain here in Halesowen currently
  3. I remember this, my Dad lives in Leicester, and I live near Birmingham, I had gone over there for the weekend, never saw it coming! Got up on the Saturday morning and couldn't believe my eyes! We had no shopping in, or toilet roll!! I walked to the nearest co-op in Leicester forest East, having to lift my legs out and over the snow for each step as someone else mentioned. Ended up stuck in Leicester until the Tuesday as it was so bad couldn't get the car off the estate!
  4. This is my second winter since I moved to Halesowen, and frankly, as I don't have a drive and my car is parked on a narrow street used as a rat run, I'm actually pretty scared what will happen to my poor car if we have any real snow! But you and I have been on the midlands snow thread for a number of years now so you'll know, despite the car, that I really, really wanna see some proper snow! Not holding my breath
  5. Dr Who? I wish it would regenerate into the equivalent of David Tennant then!
  6. Surely it's the uppers we need to be interested in for snow guys? I'll be happy enough if I see a repeat of Thursday night to be honest, nothing like a spot of lamp post watching
  7. Birmingham city centre, cars covered and roads slushy but covering, can clearly see tyre tracks, and still coming down heavily
  8. However, looking down my drive onto the main road I can clearly see where cars have driven so also settling on roads too, I just really want enough for my 2 year old to have a play in the garden in tomorrow!
  9. Slight covering on the drive, but I can still hear dripping :-/ and right now it's tiny tiny flakes, here's hoping that's because of the temp dropping!
  10. What's it like up in Gornal Gord? Snowing in Halesowen, but small flakes and very light, blowing around very much in the wind, settling on cars but not much else, I'd really like at least a covering for the little one to play in tomorrow!
