I'm not so sure it matters any more? If you look back to the last run of spotless suns around 2010 the winters here did seem to follow the pattern of colder/snowy. This time we've had mild winters with little snow. If 2021/22 winter isn't cold & snowy I think I'll be forgetting spotless sun = decent winters down the line Has climate change broken the pattern? Did the pattern ever really exist?

People in the model thread proclaiming winter over again. We've had many a snow event in March. I said the same when it was apparently over at the beginning of January! Do they never learn? The models don't run the weather.... As for those moaning about the cold, its winter. Do you moan for snow and cold in August?!

Yep. A welcome update. Thanks!! Those saying they watch the BBC. Last weekend they forecast snow here, we had rain. Two weeks ago they forecast rain..we had SNOW! Enjoy the models but you won't know until the DAY!

Silly to write off a winter at the end of Jan, many winters have featured cold & snow in Feb & March! At least this gave me a fix, 2018 seems like a long time ago. If only it had been another December 2017 event......(or 2010 but that was amazing!)

Simply incorrect! We've had two snow events so far, 60m asl.

Sadly it's the same most years. When will people learn? I get that it's fun watching these models but it obvious they are next to useless! When they get it right it's no different to betting on red enough times!!

I don't know how old you are but during the 80's I used to cut grass as a weekend job. Last cut was normally in November. Not returning until well into the new year. The climate has changed in a big way.

Had about 2 hours of glorious snow, very much like the December 2017 event which started as rain. Sadly this time it didn't carry on and is now a slushy wet mess

My grass hasn't stopped growing, my hedge (Escalliona) that should flower in summer has flowers on it! Our climate really is changing at a rapid pace I'm sorry to say (as a cold/snow lover).
