  1. Despite being under precipitation for 10hrs in the last 24hrs and in a pretty good position re the SW met last weather warning only amounted to an inch of the white stuff at most. Just about managed another ice day, -0•5°c, so it all pretty much stuck around.
  2. Not for the first time this week radar showing snow for this location...quite heavy for some of the time, but nothing reaches the ground. As others have said rain on the moor has no problem reaching the ground!
  3. Pity about today..started well with dp -0.4c and temp 0.5c at 8.45 but by the time precipitation arrived at 11.00 temp 2.5c and dp 1.4 = cold rain...again. Turned to wet snow for an hour or so in the afternoon as temperatures dropped back...nice to see but none settled at this level on the southern flanks of the moor..305m asl
  4. After (another) day of cold rain yesterday the overnight showers from the North West gave a covering here but cut off point was 300m. Hoping for better tomorrow and not more of yesterday and the dew point does not torpedo the situation. Currently -1.8c dewpoint -2.2c
  5. Certainly the far SW could be the place looking at the the latest NMM (Similar to NAE short term) 2M temp and wind video model dragging up low DP from cold continent: http://www.meteociel.fr/modeles/videos_wrfnmm.php Gradual improvement in the slider low track on most models this evening but one thing Dartmoor does well is cold rain so not totally convinced, but interesting none the less.
