  1. A very nice day in Ayrshire today.....plenty of sun sadly without the warmth tho. Looks dry but grey tomorrow.. but usable weather for dog walking.
  2. Been stuck in a weather rut since New Year ! Wet, cool, mild, very mild . A lot of strong winds and bucket loads of rain... Haven't managed a cold beer sat out in the sun since last summer or had more than 2 days of dry weather. May is quickly approaching.. and May s a month that normally delivers some fine and settled weather. Having said that have booked 11 nights in Zante for the last part of May !!
  3. andymusic If we go back a few weeks met office had amber snow warnings for a large part of Wales ..schools closed on this warning. ... It actually turned out to be a very wet affair !
  4. All change today.. another wet breezy day, Thank god for setraline or i would be self harming !!
  5. JoeShmoe Kind of sums it up for me . Tragic winter for most of the UK , perhaps only parts of the Highlands would give this winter a pass mark. Despite the hype, background signals ..ssw etc Its been utter manure.
  6. Heavy hail sleet shower in Killiie just after 8pm...leaving a slushy mess on the roads
  7. damianslaw similar to my thoughts ...some gusty north westerlies throwing everyone at us Barr the kitchen sink . Heavy winter showers at 3c then brief sunshine at 7c ...rinse n repeat. Not a winter wonderland unless your in the Highlands but interesting weather..which we have lacked since the various named storms
  8. Well my gut feeling is ...we see a below average cet for March and April..not based up on scientific / model reasoning as that has been a bit of a waste this winter.
  9. Penguin16 for most of Europe those temps are typical of April !
  10. syed2878 it has been a bust for the majority of the populated areas in Scotland. We don't all eat haggis and live up a mountain
  11. Milder into the weekend dble digits likely n looks fairly wet for the next 10 days here out in the west. Hoping that we can somehow eek out some wintery weather for us south of the Highlands end of Feb / early march. A winter that promised but failed to deliver locally. I just hope spring and summer doesn't disappoint..
  12. Next 10 to 12 days look relatively mild n fairly wet for many parts...I do still feel this winter can going out on a cold note. Be interesting to see if this gathers momentum over the coming days.
