181406 sqkm losses yesterday according to JAXA yesterday Stew? (pre-adj)

It's what you get when you reach 'average ' ice levels with ice outside the basin?

Regardless of its merits I do like the easy to read graph

It will be interesting to see the 2010's average but we will have to wait 8 years for that.

204,000 loss yesterday but again they guys that present the data haven't been on a Excel course

Just wondering, This current hot spell has been warmer and longer then expected, with hints that itll stay warm/hot throughout next week, seeing May out.

Now whilst hot spells at this time of the year are common enough, im struggling to remember such a prolonged and widespread hot spell since 1970.

Several I would imagine , I think 89 a lot of warm/hot day in mid late May ,temps mid 80s but may have that year wrong, but as you say not that uncommon , i'm sure there have been more since 1970, Mr Data ?

Didn't know this was back!

Very different to the Roos 15% level isn't it?

Great news now we get daily doom and gloom or cheer and wonder Posted Image

Next 6 weeks as always the most crucial time. The data set doesn't seem as easy on the eye to read as it was before.

Both cold and mild/warm weather downgrade all year round as it gets closer to the time. Its just that in winter its more noticeable. For example, if a forecast temperature of 15C becomes 13C the conditions on the ground will be similar and nobody will notice. However, if 0C and snow becomes 2C and rain/sleet, then its very noticeable.

.

I agree snowmen dont really care if its 15c or 13c as there not there.

0 or 2c its crucial its the difference between winters over or does this mean it will snow on christmas day.

No frost her but its been cold
