  1. Very light stuff visible in streetlights here in Moordown; nothing settling on roads/pavements that I can see - they're just wet.
  2. Moordown in Bournemouth - "real" snowflakes just started falling within the past 5 minutes or so.
  3. Pretty wild here in (normally sunny!) Bournemouth. Rain now easing, lightning slightly less frequent, thunder getting quieter. Sat in the dark in my study with the blinds open!
  4. Hi everyone Firstly, I hope I'm posting this in the right place! Years ago, when I was at school, we installed a PC to receive weather satellite signals and were fascinated by the live pictures that built, line by line, as satellites came over the horizon and we received their images. I have recently been looking for suitable equipment to do the same today, and I'm struggling to find anything suitable - as far as I can tell! I'm no expert on which satellites to be looking for - I recall NOAA - but I can't seem to find a good online shop where I can buy the appropriate antennae and decoding devices to feed in (I assume as an audio signal) into my PC to view the pictures. Does anyone have any advice or recommendations? If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd be most grateful! Many thanks Stephen
  5. For anyone interested, here's a live weather station in Lytchett Minster, Dorset. http://www.lytchett.org.uk/weather/
