  1. Enjoyable weather with sunny periods. Interior temperatures are up to 15 Celsius, but there are some pretty cold places which measure temperatures below 10. On the coast it is mild and pleasant with temperatures varying between 14 and 20 Celsius, but you can still have a rainstorm. Satellite image of Croatia an surrounding: Note a tropical cyclone in extreme left of the image I  autumn!
  2. Sorry,I have not been in this thread for looooong time... It is now rainy and cloudy in most of Croatia.Only extreme western and eastern parts enjoy the sun. North and northeast are cold with temperatures between 9 and 15. On the coast it's warmer and temperatures vary between 14 and 22 Celsius. Croats call this type of weather "British weather".
  3. I think that Invest 95L won't develop in next two days. Look at this weak vortex near Yucatan, far west from sheared main convection.
  4. As the thread title says, what are the most interesting and unusual tropical cyclones in Atlantic since 1995. I picked Atlantic from all tropical cyclone basins because I think it is the basin in which people are most interested. My top five: 5)Erin 2007 (Re intensification to 60 mph over Oklahoma) 4)Vince 2005 (Landfall in Spain as a TD) 3)Wilma 2005 (Very fast intensification, the strongest recorded Atlantic hurricane) 2)Ivan 2004 (A major hurricane very south, held Category 4 and Category 5 for very long time, regenerated in the Gulf of Mexico) 1)Grace 2009 (I think it was a tropical storm when it landfalled in Wales)
  5. Nalgas means buttock. OK,I won't offtopic. Algae intensified to Category 1 strength. It is forecasted to reach Category 3 strength before landfall in northern Luzon. Then it will move westward through South Chinese Sea and brush Hainan as a Category 1 before landfall in Vietnam. AMSRE microwave image shows convective bands only on the east of LLCC.
  6. Tropical Depression 22 W intensified and was named Tropical storm Nalgae(what a funny name). It is well organized and there is a formative eye wall. According to JTWC,Algae will intensify to Category 2 strength before making landfall in extreme northern Luzon. P.S. How to rename the thread to Tropical Storm Nalgae?
  7. Very similar as September 24,but temperatures are higher 1-3 Celsius.
  8. OK,we got TD 22. Now it's far from any bigger land mass. Here's a forecast map to show the location of TD 22. Taiwan and Luzon need to watch this storm. There is some dry air to the northwest of TD 22. This could intensify pretty fast when convection wraps around the southwestern quadrant.
  9. OK.I think Ophelia could become a remnant low soon. Look at that poor little weak LLCC!
  10. OK,Cthulhu does not exist so the world is safe. Cold front visited Croatia on September 19 and left on September 22. Croatia is mostly sunny and temperatures are varying now between 22 and 27 Celsius in N and NE Croatia. In coastal regions it is warmer and temperatures are varying now between 25 and 29 Celsius. I <3 late summer!
  11. I think that Hillary has better chances than 11 % to become a Category 5. At least 25 %.
  12. Here are some interesting images of Hillary from NRL: 85 GHz H which shows eyewall, Water vapor which shows that Hillary is in moist environment, and infrared which shows intense deep convective burst west of Hillary. Hillary will rapidly intensify to Category 3 according to NHC,go away from Mexico, and Me thinks that Hillary will become a remnant low on September 29.
  13. Sonca still has well defined eye,but ring of convection around the eye is very thin. Eyewall is weak on the northern side. I cannot see much on WeatherUnderground's satellite animation because it's too fast, but it looks that Sonca is moving in NNE direction.
  14. OK,I'm back. The weather has been essentially same last 5-6 days. Sunny with daily maxima varying between 26 and 34 Celsius
  15. Of course,Cookie. BTW,Sonca is now a Cat1 typhoon. Convection is not very deep, but it is very well organized and the eye is distinct.
