Shows how localised the weather can be as I’m only over the bridge from you and it’s probably been worse than expected this week here. Everyday up until today has been predominantly cloudy with some sort of rainfall each day. Sun has been absent. However, today is different. Sunny (albeit hazy), warm and calm. Lurvely Jubbly.

*Stormforce~beka* Would have probably brought the washing in then shot the video. You’ll have wet laundry now.

Some nice little cells forming along the A361 in the Frome/Shepton area. Just got caught in a downpour at Whatley; Rumble of thunder just for luck too.

That probably means expect sleet and gales then.

The flag has returned (well, to Theale at least); Don’t think the rain will be much of an issue this week, not seeing an overly wet week anywhere to be fair (after the incoming rain currently to the SW), but with LP spinning around nearby, I do see a return to very grey & dull skies, especially IMBY.

Clouded over here now, albeit still warm. Does this mean it’s the beginning of the end of this lovely spell of weather we have endured? Was kinda hoping we could last the weekend with it so those of us who were stuck at work Tues - Fri could enjoy it. I don’t want it to go just yet.

Somewhat cloudier here too, albeit hazy & bright still. Lovely & warm though. Making the most of today & this weekend before the status quo returns late Sunday (IMBY).

Bank Holiday weekend gets an overall rating of 4/10 for me, primarily because of Saturday. Saturday was perfect for early May, beautiful day. Perfect in every way. Sunday, where I was on the South Coast, was a complete dud. Heavy drizzle pretty much all day only clearing late in the day. Cool and very misty. Awful day that ruined my trip to Weymouth. Today, unless something drastic happens, looks like becoming another dud as a whole rash of heavy downpours/rain appears to be moving in from the east. Currently cloudy with worse to come as we progress into the evening. After Saturday I thought our luck may have changed and we were in for a better than forecast BH weekend, but no, Sunday & today were/appear to be worse than forecast. No sunny spells & isolated showers here, full on washout days/half days. Looking forward to a drier working week ahead. Hopefully weekend too. Let’s hope the cloud does one though as I really don’t want more dull, grey days even if they are dry.

At least the local gull isn’t going hungry today;

It’s brightening up down on Portland now; The darker grey clouds disappearing over the hills of the Jurassic Coastline. Still, compared to yesterday, today was dog poop!
