  1. Light snow shower in Epping at the moment, to add to the slight overnight dusting
  2. Yep, we had a brief but intense hail shower at around noon in Epping
  3. But that's using the definition of Winter as basically "is it going to snow" Max temp forecast for Epping by the Met Office for tomorrow is 4C, that to me is Winter!
  4. Yep, that maximum temperature of 5 degrees in a weeks time is going to feel really springlike
  5. Disagree Mushy I think it is excellent that people take the time to do LRF's. Anyone with a modicum of sense realises that the weather is never going to play out exactly as predicted, and as the people doing the forecasts give great explanations as to the basis of their predictions, it is very useful for those of us learning about weather forecasting, to understand what the background signals are suggesting. I don't believe for one minute that anybody is glory hunting, and people like Lorenzo have already been back on to explain when things don't work out as they predicted and why. Personally I learn a lot from these, and would hate for people to stop preparing them.
  6. Certainly Winter 14/15 is heading for the South East swear filter, unless February can deliver
  7. I'll check it out in the morning when I'm coming off the M25 at junction 26
  8. Doesn't look likely, anywhere South and or East of say Waltham Abbey, looks to be out of the running at the mo
  9. Not sure the temperatures will matter much for those East of London, met office graphics don't look as if the precipitation will even make it
  10. Shame they turn the lampposts off these days, spoils one of my favourite hobbies
  11. Still after the weekend to play for though, Keep the faith
