Hottest day of the year today. Thankfully it will cool down noticeable hopefully in the next few days.  So after a cooler than predicted start temps soon rocketed certainly would have broken the 30c marked if we had started 4c to 5c warmer.

Max temp 28.5C (Stevenson screen) now 25.8C

Yes my hottest day this year at 30.3C and the hottest since 1 August last year.

Perhaps the last truly hot day here for a while but hardly a very cool outlook.

Dry and very warm with sunny spells, a bit hazier than recent days.  Maximum 27.8, minimum 16.2.  Wind light N.  Haven't reached 30C yet (and unlikely to in the next few days), which is unusual for this location given that this summer has been generally on the warm side.
