The first half of last night was dry with a few flashes of lightning and rumbles of thunder seen/heard to the east shortly after midnight.

During the early hours there was a period of light-moderate, briefly heavy, rain which has persisted into this morning, accompanied by hill fog.

We have a TS right now here in Gloucester..continuous thunder too.

 

On another thread I mentioned about the  brilliant blue CG I saw in the early hours,very close (it seemed) and an  immediate crack of thunder. I wondered what it had hit. Here's the likely result. Hardwick is about 3 miles from my  home.

Light showers this morning with distant thunder heard to east just after 0700. 

Mostly cloudy today with a few bright and sunny intervals. Rather warm, humid. LIght generally north or NW breeze.

Mostly cloudy with sunny spells. There was thunder from a storm to the west early in the afternoon but it has remained dry here. Warm and rather humid with a max temp of 24.8C.

 

Currently 22.7C with a dewpoint of 19.2C. Only 1.1hrs of sunshine so far.

A rather uneventful day until five when we had a side sweep from the Storm that brewed over the channel and surprisingly made it this far and is continuing it's way northward.

Max temp 21.9C now 18.4C

A warm night with thundery rain which finally cleared by mid morning. Dry and humid with sunny spells in the afternoon. Maximum 25.6, minimum 18.4. Wind moderate S.

Yesterday: dry and very warm with sunny spells. Maximum 28.1, minimum 16.7. Wind light SE.

A cloudy morning with light-moderate, briefly heavy, rain which eventually cleared to the north around 1230 g.m.t.

A few short sunny intervals by mid-afternoon and then a near miss from a very active thunderstorm which moved north/north east about 8 miles east of here. The storm was followed by a clearance with sunny periods to end the day.
