I remember it well - was outside putting a motorbike back together when I became aware of the incredible wall of blackness out west which soon became filled with CtoG lightning from north to south. Knew it was gonna be something special and me and the missus watched its approach with awe before being forced inside to watch agog from the window. Simply don't get anything like that anymore - I know, let's blame climate change or summat....

I believe one of our members filmed that. I was young, but I remember it well for the green skies that I had never seen before and felt quite scared about, despite loving storms.

They don't make 'em like that anymore.

I was 3 years old when this happened. I remember numerous events that had me terrified as a child, this may well have been one of them!

My Lordy if netweather had existed back then, the convective threads would be filled out within minutes!
