Not been on hear for a few weeks.

Bit confused, Regional threads seems to have changed.

We in the South have been put in a London, East and South East thread.

So loved being in the the South West thread, especially as most of our weather comes from there towards us.

Tried looking for a thread that showed the changes,

Strange thing is in the new South East thread, does not seem to have any from my area posting.

Have I got it wrong, thought Id ask before I invade the South East region?

WE really have very different weather to the East and South East down here in the South, so cant see this working well.

Some of the threads were getting just a couple of posts a day (if that) so it was rather pointless keeping most of them open in their old format. It's only temporary during the quiet periods.

Hi Lettice.....like me,Nick and a few others, you're in the 'overlap' zone of the two regions, so feel free to post in the region of your choice  :)

Ok thanks all, must have missed the discussion on this, my search not finding the thread mentioned above.

I will follow and post in the Wales, The Midlands and Southwest England thread, more appropriate.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall. It doesn't rain very often here like other desert areas, but like the deadly floods in Libya last year showed, these rain events are likely becoming more extreme due to global warming.
