There's still a few weeks left in the season so don't despair too much, many times the best time i've seen NLCs has been in the early morning despite not seeing anything before midnight.

...but i saw none then either. ive watched the sun rise and set until darkness.

Display developing just East of due North at the moment. Not a great elevation but could get better as the night progresses.
