Right on the edge of Surrey and Berkshire very deep rumble of thunder might of been in cloud lightning as I saw no distinct "flash"

nothing showing up on ATD yet, but not every strike is recorded as we know, and some quite lively radar returns around the M4/M3/M25 parts of west London

There was a torrential downpour in Newton Poppleford, about 10 minutes ago. I was surprised there wasn't any thunder with that.

Central London looking ripe for something in the near future. Odds on it will be as I start my walk to the station in an hour or so

I'll be on the look out :good:

Today is looking decent for London, for a change - Some bright echoes, not many dry slots.

I remain hopeful for some booming Thunder.

Just persistent, plain old rain here so far. Getting progressively heavier though.

Had two quite abrupt cracks of thunder here, I thought someone was moving a bin down my alley way until I looked on the ATD map and saw that there were two lightning strikes over Elstree..

This is the problem with now moving to a nice plush new office in the city - the converted high street shop meant I could see little lightning (unless looking for it) but open the windows and listen for thunder. Now further into the city, complete glazing to the NW around to the SE, but no openable windows to listen for thunder.

Haven't seen any lightning so far, but the scar has been getting darker.

Roll on 5:30

Some moderate rain here now, though doesn't seem too threatening.

Has to be said, it's not exactly looking lively.

As the time hits 5pm just a bit worried that this day might turn into an absolute waste... Let's hope something happens! The latest GFS 12z run looks useless... Edited by interestingweather

We have thick cloud, drizzle and a strong breeze here. Maybe still a chance further south but definitely a bust for here and anywhere north of Birmingham.
