One or two brief, light showers early yesterday evening but apart from those it was a dry, mild  and cloudy night with thick fog developing around 0500 g.m.t and lasting until 0830 g.m.t.

Currently it's dry and hazy with bright intervals.

Cumbria holds the highest temperature today as of 2pm

At 2pm the temperature had reached 19.8C at Cambridge but the warm spot is Bridgefoot in Cumbria with 20.2C.

 

21c is the highest temperature so far this year

Turned into a warm day once North Sea cloud had burnt off with sunny spells until now. Vloud has built up as Showers approach from the east.

Max temp 18.5C now 16C

Ah the joys of being on the East Coast. Its currently mostly cloudy with occasional drizzle and a temp of 10.1C.

 

It was briefly milder earlier under hazy sunshine, reaching a max of 13.6C.

Mostly cloudy after last nights showers cleared away. Dawning overcast and misty, little change through the morning to obs. The cloud began to thin and break through the morning allowing hazy sunny spells from late morning through to the afternoon.  Feeling quite warm despite a fresh east-NE wind.

Clear spells for a time overnight before turning cloudy from the NE towards midnight. Dawning overcast, misty. Cloudy this morning, a short spell of light to moderate rain around 07:30 GMT this clearing around 08:00 hrs. At observation, cloudy, damp underfoot, feeling cold in a fresh NE wind. Mostly cloudy through the morning. The afternoon and evening saw a couple of light to moderate showers.

to add to post 14 above, a maximum temperature of  19.4C; this fell to 11.8C by 1700; good enough for a cold front many times, imagine that in mid winter, mild with 10C then 8C or more fall?

Can't match Johns drop but we've gone from 18.5C to 11.1C. Sheffield shield seems to be doing it's job on the showers though so a month of little or no rainfall bar one day continues.

The early morning fog cleared by 0830 g.m.t to leave a predominantly dry day with sunny intervals or longer spells of hazy sunshine. The cloud thickened during the late afternoon to bring a few spots of showery rain, accompanied by a temporary increase to f5 in the NE wind and a 6 degree fall in temperature.

Easily the warmest day of the year so far here.
